  GreenSingles.com is an online community for singles with a strong interest in environmental, vegetarian, and animal rights issues. It allows members to search for other profiles matching any number of criteria. Members may then contact potential matches by sending "smiles" (pre-formatted messages) or by sending personal messages through the site with the purchase of a membership or "contact credits."
  
  The redevelopment of greensingles.com (like any other database-driven, content-heavy site) required development to be approached from the data management perspective first, building a strong foundation that would support the required functionality. At that point a graphical user interface was designed with a clean, professional feel, making navigation of the site and interaction with all of the member tools a straightforward, intuitive process.
